My stretched canvas and photographic prints are printed and produced in New Zealand by photographic lab specialists who’ve been doing it for close on 40 years. I trust them because they know photography, they know colour and they care about the details.
High Resolution Digital File Downloads
This is if you’d like to have one of my photo files for your own use or for your own lab to print up. I set these files up at the centimetre size specified in the Sizes & Prices menu at the following high resolution specifications: 300 dpi, RGB, Jpeg, download link sent via Dropbox. 300 dpi at 100% size is magazine or book print quality. The files are large and you can have a photo lab turn them into what ever you wish. Once you’ve purchased a download the rest is out of my hands.
The photograph is printed on premium German fine art canvas. It’s 410gsm of the finest archival quality museum-grade goodness. It’s 100% cotton and the colours will last 70 years.
The canvas gets wrapped on solid 40mm wooden stretcher bars. The frame is beveled towards the canvas so the wood bars can’t be noticed. The canvas is taped and strung ready for hanging.
I like super neat, square edges and tidy corners.
They finish off the canvas sides using the mirrored edge method. This way none of the photographic scene gets lost. The canvas print is finished off with the latest UV and scratch resistant aqueous coating technology, which can be wiped with a damp cloth.
I send a large, high quality digital file to my lab and they reproduce the photograph using a special LED-exposure RGB press. They print onto a lustre-finish silver halide paper. The archival quality paper is optimised for professional colour printing with vivid colour reproduction, brilliant whites and excellent detail.
A photographic print is like a traditional photograph printed on a sheet of special photo paper, only that the quality is very, very good.
